In this Insight, we’ll look at 12 new features in Resolve Studio 12.5, completely new to the software. Mostly, those features in Part 1 were extensions to features that are already (or partly) available in earlier versions of Resolve Studio.

The Australia-based company also announced the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K, a new camera that offers built in optical ND filters, a new interchangeable lens mount, dual CFAST 2.0 and dual SD/UHS-II card recorders, support for more codecs, etc. The update is free for current owners of the software.
The Studio 12.5.5 version for Mac, Windows and Linux costs $995 and offers additional features such as support for multiple GPUs, temporal and spatial noise reduction, HDR and collaborative tools, etc.
Previously, DaVinci Resolve Studio was only available on a special build of Linux for customers using the DaVinci Resolve Advanced control panel for colorists. In addition to the paid Studio version, Blackmagic Design has now made available the free feature-limited version of its editing, grading and conforming tool for Red Hat and CentOS Linux.
